Search intent

Check if text is likely AI-written

VeriOrigin is built for readers, editors, reviewers, teachers, researchers, and marketplace operators who need a quick AI text checker without moving content into a separate website.

AI text checker

Use it on article paragraphs, reviews, comments, posts, drafts, and pasted excerpts where writing style matters.

AI detector for Chrome

Run checks from the selected text button, the extension popup, or the browser right-click menu.

AI content detector signals

Review probability, result reliability, short reasoning, and stylistic signals in one compact result panel.

Workflow

Three ways to run an AI check

Highlight text on a page

Select a passage and click the AI? button that appears near the selection.

Check a whole readable page

Right-click the page and choose the VeriOrigin page check from the standard Chrome menu.

Paste text from Docs, Word, or PDF

Copy a passage from editors and documents, paste it into the popup, and run the same probabilistic review.

Borderline second pass

Low-reliability or middle-range results can receive a stricter second review before the final answer is shown.

High-stakes caution

The result should support review, not replace judgment. AI detection is not proof of authorship.

FAQ

AI checker questions

What does VeriOrigin AI Checker check?

The current release checks text content: selected page text, readable page text from the current page, and passages pasted into the extension popup.

Can an AI checker prove that text was written by AI?

No. AI detection is probabilistic and may produce false positives or false negatives. VeriOrigin shows a probability signal and a reliability level.

Does the extension include an API key?

No. The Chrome extension calls a backend over HTTPS. Provider credentials stay server-side and are not included in the extension package.
